Arthur Sist Fellow working in Bosnia

Magda Kura with MP Prodanovic Rockefeller College MA student Magdalena Kura won SUNY/CID’s Arthur J. Sist Fellowship in International Development for Summer 2011. During her fellowship, she gains practical experience in USAID’s Parliamentary Strengthening Project in Bosnia Herzegovina. In this project, SUNY/CID works with the State and Federation Parliaments of Bosnia and Herzegovina to promote inter-parliamentary coordination; improve and increase linkages among parliaments, MPs, and citizens; and assist the State parliament to increase effectiveness in performing its deliberation and oversight functions. Born in Poland, Ms. Kura’s academic focus at Rockefeller College is on Global Affairs and Public Finance Management. She plans to work in the U.S. foreign service upon completion of her studies.
