PSLP Lebanon Conducts Training in Legislative Research

PSLP Lebanon conducted its first in-country training in legislative research from December 13-17, 2010 for the staff of Directorate for Studies and Information. The training was held at the Parliament and conducted by Catherine Cornish, currently Director of Chamber Research Office at the Australian Parliament, and Wafaa Abdel Elah, former Head of Research Services at the Egyptian Parliament. All trainees, who actively participated and expressed appreciation of the trainers, rated the training as "highly satisfactory." PSLP is currently working with the Directorate head and the researchers on follow-up research assignments to prepare for advanced-level training this spring.
