SUNY/CID at 2017 SID-Washington Annual Conference

Join the Center for International Development of the State University of New York (SUNY/CID) on Thursday, June 1st, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC for a SUNY/CID lunchtime round table session on the role of Higher Education Institutions in International Development. The sessions are part of the 2017 SID-Washington Annual Conference, organized by the Washington, DC chapter of the Society for International Development.

The role of US universities in advancing international development

The facilitator will lead a table top discussion on the role that US universities have played in international development as on the ground implementers, drivers of innovation, and CLA. The discussion will also examine how universities can help partners address emerging trends in development and the new administration’s priorities, some which are focused on higher education institutions. As well, participants will discuss the challenges and opportunities to partnering with universities.
