USAID invites SUNY/CID experts to collaborate to help IDPs

SUNY/CID has been invited to participate in a USAID's Building Resilience in the Ninewa Plains and Western Ninewa event. The goal of this event is to find innovative ways to enable the safe and voluntary return of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) to their homes in the Ninewa plains and western Ninewa of Iraq and encourage minority residents to remain in their communities. Our expert team, led by Senior Associated Dr. David E. Guinn, will have an opportunity to co-create with other organizations to research, develop, pilot and test interventions to find strategic, focused and results-oriented solutions to this complex humanitarian issue. The invitation was based on our expression of interest, "Pathways to Recovery: Building Resilience in Ninewa," in response to a USAID Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The event will take place in Baghdad in late February or early March.
